Tomb of King David

The traditional tomb  of King David is together with the Western Wall,  the most visited and venerated by people of Jewish faith. The massive stone cenotaph, draped in a velvet cloth with Jewish motifs embroided on it , is surmounted by twenty-two crowns of the Torah in solid silver; they represent the kings who, after David, succeeded each other on the throne of Israel and Juda.
