Via Dolorosa
The Via Dolorosa (Path of Sorrow or "Way of the Cross") is the way tradition says Jesus followed, from his condemnation by Pontius Pilate to the spot where he was crucified and buried. The path begins near the north western corner of the Temple Mount where the Fortress of Antonia once stood in the Muslim Quarter, and ends within the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, in the of the Christian Quarter. This route is marked by the 14 Stations of the Cross.
